Our hula hoop workshops have been taught all around the USA. Sheri Alice has extensive experience teaching and performing hula hoop. She has grown her brand into a successful powerhouse and now she wants to help YOU. Look through our options below to see which workshops fits your event best!

Hula Hoop Workshops

Most workshops are typically 1.5 hours long. However, we are happy to accommodate virtually any duration.

BEGINNER SINGLE HOOP


This foundational workshop explores all of the basics of hula hooping. We will start to cover the basics of on body and off body hula hooping such as waist hooping, hooping on your hand and other basic tricks. This class is great for those who has never hula hooped or who need a refresher course!

INTERMEDIATE SINGLE HOOP

This workshop is the second step of many to become a master hoop dancer! In this class we will revisit the hula hoop basics and strive to learn some more technical moves like wedgies, isolation variations, jump throughs and chest rolls. Don’t worry – practice makes perfect!




ADVANCED SINGLE HOOP


Do you need a challenge? Well this class is for you! This workshop is for those looking to really push their skills and level up their hula hooping. We will go over some more advanced hula hoop tricks like tosses, contact rolls, nose hooping, foot hooping and a variety of insanely tricky combinations!

Specialty Workshops

CHEST HOOPING


This class is all about chest hooping. We will go over the basics of chest hooping as well as more advanced variations like breaks and paddles. This is great for those that are stuck on chest hooping or are looking to really advance in the skill. This class has something in it for all levels of hoop dancers.



TWIN HOOPS: CHEST ROLLS


This workshop will focus on incorporating chest rolls into your double hoop flow. Chest rolls are fun crowd pleasers and great transitional elements. Some of the rolls we will be going over are leg hoops +various chest rolls, turning chest rolls, chest rolls while manipulating the second hoop in various ways and more!

THE ILLUSIONS OF DOUBLE ISOLATIONS


This workshop will focus on executing clean isolations with your double hoops. Isolations bring the element of illusion into your hoop dance. Some of the isolations we will be going over are the various combinations of split time/same time/opposite direction/ same direction isolations and more.

INTRO TO QUAD HOOPS


In my workshop, Intro to Quad Hoops, we will be focusing on the foundational elements of manipulating four hoops. Quad hoops are a great way to spice up your act! By using quad hoops you are strengthening your non-dominant side which will help you balance your hoop dance movements. We will start with playing around with two hoops on one arm and move onto experimenting with two hoops on both arms as well as some off-body quad hooping techniques. JOIN THE QUADS MOVEMENT!

FINDING FLOW


In this meditative workshop we will explore the never ending boundaries of the flow state of mind. This all levels workshop is designed to show you how to reach a state of flow during your practices. Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. By focusing our minds on the now, we will learn to achieve such state in our practices everyday.

This workshop focuses on cleaning up your act – literally! This performance based workshop is great for performers of all levels; aspiring, new, and seasoned performers are all encouraged and welcome. We will be exploring a variety of topics to help you succeed as a performer such as stage presence and body awareness, overcoming mistakes, crowd pleasing tricks to help you slay the stage and more tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way!
